1.
Apply ink to stamp. Always ink from the top, as shown. This way you can see that you haven't missed any bits or got ink all over the wooden block. |

|
2.
Stamp the image onto the
card. It's a good idea to put a magazine under your work as this gives the surface a little bit of 'bounce' so it's easier to get a nice impression. |

|
3.
Sprinkle embossing
powder over image (work with a clean piece of paper under the card
to catch the embossing powder). Tip the excess embossing powder off onto the scrap of
paper. Flick any strays bits of embossing powder off your card with a
small paint brush (this is really important otherwise your invitations may have unwanted spots on them) |

|
4.
Heat your image over toaster, or use a heat gun or paint stripping gun (No a hairdryer isn't hot enough!). You will see the embossing powder start to melt and the image will be raised and shiny. Once you see this change don't be tempted keep heating or your image will go flat again. |

|
5.
Compose the wording for your invitation on your
computer and print it out onto specialty insert paper.
NB: All our papers
will go through a printer, however an inkjet printer won't dry on vellum (or some of our printed shimmer papers), so these papers need to be printed on a laser printer. |
|
6.
Secure insert to card with thread or
ribbon. |
